There should be one option available. The Sabine SWM7000 series wireless is supposed to be available worldwide. It uses a digital technology similar to (but different from) the X2 to work in the 2.4 GHz band, same as WiFi, which is available in virtually every developed country. I know this includes all of the EU. The Sabine covers the same 20 to 20K audio frequency range with no companders, just like the X2.
The Sabine even offers 70 channels vs. the 5 that the X2 offers. It is pricier, but averages just less than $1000 USD here in the States, so it shouldn't be too much more in the EU, given the strength of the Euro right now.
Check into it. At least it is another option.
