Which Wireless System?

With the x2, go with rechargeable 9v batteries for practice and rehearsal (in the transmitter). Save the alkalines for gigs. Only minus for rechargeable is that their life is not always predictable.

I picked up a pair of the iPower 9v rechargeables. I get up to around 7 hours total time per battery. That's as good as an alkaline or better. Having 2 of them, I always have one fully charged as backup.

I can't find any UK versions of the X2 on the net but I found many "Relay G30" kits by line6.

The response says it goes down to 10Hz with a 118db SNR, But has anyone compared these to the X2 System... IS it the same thing just rebadged and rehoused? I am a little lost here.

Thomas Distributing makes a 9.6V battery that will fit in the X2 (tight battery compartment) the powerex. I just did a 3 45-50 minute/set gig on one fully charged battery. Do get an A/c adapter for the receiver though if you're using the stomp box version.

This what I use ... it cost $200 on ebay I also use a power adapter with it. It works pretty good.
Not as good as a cable ... but pretty darn good ... I always use it live ...

I have been using a Shure UT4 for years. It's never blipped, and I don't hear an audible difference between that and the cable.
I have used the 9.6V batteries in our shure PSM-200s. They don't last as long as Energizers, but they sure are a lot cheaper. I can usually get through most of the night on one battery, where I always get through the night with an alkaline. $10 a battery that I can recharge or $2 for one I throw away...

The Stageclix is a good X2 alternative for Europe. Digital 2.4 GHz system, works flawlessly and is incredibly easy to use. I've gigged a few times with it, and it always performed well. Also can't tell the difference in sound to a cable.

Digital is really the way to go with wireless systems!

I've been using mine for about 15 months now with no problems. I bought a blackberry case with clip that was on clearance for mine. I didn't really like the wire belt clip that came with the X2.

I keep the wire belt clip on my strap. Works for me. The pack has been very durable.
