White or Tort on a Candy Apple Red Jazz?

I have white on it now, but am leaning toward a tort guard.

Rosewood fingerboard. The bass is 15 yrs old, so the white pickguard has an aged look to it.

nice things about J pick guards - you can swap them in about 10 min without dealing with strings / wiring. When I was running a J bass, I had 3 or 4...

For what you have, I'd try a white mother of toilet seat...

I don't think CAR is one of the colors tort goes well with, but tons of people here seem to like it on EVERY color

I would definitely go with a nice parchment color or a mint color (more vintage, less green). I think those look the best.

assuming its a rosewood board, i voted white, but I always thought my CAR metro RV4 would look the best with a white pearloid guard... thats just me.

Depends on what color the fretboard is and it depends on what kind of Tort it is, since there are many different shades. Cheaper shades don't work at all.

Recently built a burgundy bass....had a red tort on it and white pearloid. I prefer the red tort, but it is the ONE time my fife suggested I buy something, so I have the pearloid on it.
