White or Tort on a Candy Apple Red Jazz?

I would say mint green ( which looks white). I have a fender strat that is candy apple red w/ mint green pickguard and it looks amazing

Since it's a no-go, Candy Apple Red is a sweet color. How about clear? How does it look with the guard off? CNC hole? Big trench?

If it's just the CNC hole you could use clear and put something interesting like a coin in the hole. Just spitballin'....

I hate tort, but even if I liked it, I'd pick white for a red bass.

AFAIK, the ONLY vintage fender bass that came stock with one was a sunburst mustang bass.

The nineties MIM basses came stock with a white pearl plate.

That's what she looks like now, except for the matching headstock. I may need to buy a few pickguards and change them as the mood strikes me, as others have suggested.

Torts over rated. Pickguards in general are over rated in my opinion but with the P i used to own, it looked nice with a white pickguard but white pearl would look super sexy on a CAR one!!! Ive also seen black guards on squier guitars that looked really snazzy.

if you have a white one it may look similar, but parchment gives it a subtle, more aged look, than just stark white.

I *love* tort. However, I used to have a CAR Jazz that came with a tort guard but I wasn't really crazy about how it looked. I'd say go with white or with white pearl.
