White Verdine White Signature Sadowsky

Thanks for posting my reggae vid Doc! I have one of the first Verdine 5's - it has the "normal" depth neck pocket, that why I had to ask Ellis for a PG (the newer ones were designed so no PG was necessary, less depth between the neck and body). I also have the Duncan PJ pups in mine - not knocking the Nordy set, but the Duncan's are sweeter, less aggressive in the low mid, more balanced all around. Last I heard it was all Nordy stuff now but don't quote me on that.

I don't know what magic dust Roger sprinkled on mine but it sounds massive, balanced and just feels "right". The Morado board has some snazzy grain too...

This is a stretch from the original plain white Dr Cheese likes. But I like this black guard with the white VW. I might get the same guard for mine.

It's like watching the tail end of a fireworks show seeing the last of the satins pop up on their site.

I'm still not clear on what makes the Verdine White a signature bass (i.e., what makes it any different from any other Sadowsky PJ).

I have one, and in addition to what's been mentioned, the p pickup is slightly closer to the neck than on the standard PJ, resulting in slightly more low mids (excellent in the mix). Mine is the NYC model and has a pickguard . . .
