White Verdine White Signature Sadowsky

Hey Doc,

I'm just throwing this out there but I'm really looking forward to your future thread titled "NBD-Sadowsky". I realize that with a daughter starting college (my daughter is a sophomore at the Univ. of Wash.) and your funds are going to have other priorities, but I think a Sadowsky really might be your forever bass. The NYC Sadowsky I had built for my 50th birthday is a truly amazing jazz bass. It will be an heirloom for my daughter when I pass.

You've had many threads about Sadowsky basses so I fully understand you know they are special. Also, there are so many flavors to choose from so you can find the right one for you.

I will keep my eyes peeled for this thread in the future.

Best Wishes,
Bones

I never say never! I may sell some stuff and buy a Chinese Roger Sadowsky Design bass when they come out or maybe I will get something nicer near retirement (although the Geddy ain't chopped liver at all!)

If I'm reading the press release correctly, it seems there will be three lines of the Verdine White (two from Germany and one from the Chinese MetroExpress line), so they would start under $1,000

That's great, I read that I release. I must have read more quickly than I realized. A Chinese made Verdine White or Will Lee would be fine with me.

This white bass is beautiful in its simplicity. Verdine White Signature basses View attachment 3710690 maybe the best looking Sadowsky's in my opinion.
Not my thang. A little too slick looking for my tastes. I prefer the pickguard. And black. Like your Geddy. Doesn't matter anyway...I'm done buying basses for now.

Somebody in China registered Sadowsky, and Roger Sadowsky has not won the case to get his name back yet.
I think it would make sense to keep it the way it currently is. As I mentioned in one of the other threads, one of the things that I think Mike Tobias got right with the off-shore MTDs is that there is no confusing them with the U.S.-made MTDs - even from a distance. The same can't be said of the Sadowskys but the absence of the usual Sadowsky logo would at least help a little.

Sadowsky has so many options now, his basses are going to span a multitude of different players and players budgets. At every level there will be quality. That's why I say there will be a Dr. Cheese "NBD-Sadowsky" sometime in the future. Not saying exactly when, but I have a good feeling it will happen.

So many folks are looking forward to me buying a Sadowsky. It is a pretty interesting feeling.
