Whitney Houston---Dead?

I am going to add that I already am reading a lot of people being petty, and shallow, and judgmental. We have no right to judge others; only ourselves. I choose to remember Whitney for her awesome talent, and not her personal life. She and I had no personal relationship of any kind, so I am not in a position to really know, now am I? As I said before, God bless you, Whitney Houston.

No intent at being petty or shallow, here. What's wrong with quoting her and linking news reports?

No problem. I'm really sad to hear that she is gone. She had such a beautiful voice. It makes you wonder why someone with so much going for her would choose the lifestyle she chose.

I don't really think about things like that.

A lot of people would be surprised by how easily they could have gotten caught up in stuff if things had been a little different.

"There but for the grace of God go I..."

It's good that others do actually think about these things. To ignore the fact that this is a life wasted is truly pitiful. Hopefully, others will learn from her mistakes.

Well, you can judge her all day, but you will never have 1/10th of her talent.

She took it with her.

In my opinion, real musicians don't disrespect those who are vastly superior to them. Whitney Houston redefined what singing was. She took it to another level, and literally MILLIONS of people tried to copy her, and in my opinion, NONE did so successfully.

She was, in my opinion, the greatest voice of modern music. She blew away all the others, as far as her tone, control, emotion, and raw talent. Here is the first time I saw her, debuting on Late Night with David Letterman back in 1985.

Truly an excellent performance.

I never thought any singer could touch her.
