I think I'm trying to say "thank you". I've been fighting off the urge to tear this bass apart and paint it. I know that it would turn out well, but not wanting to modify it. I like it's originality, even though it's "JUST" a Squier, and not even that old! LOL View attachment 4393601

This is a 2013 MIC Classic Vibe Precision. I have it set up for blues with Fender flatwounds on it.

JD, my impression was that the Inca Silver Jazz's that came out around the same time were essentially the same axe as well. I liked to have never found my JJ, and had I not found a remaining new one, that was my fallback choice. Impossible to go wrong with either one, I just had a soft spot for that matching-head look in Lake Placid Blue. Now if they'd just make a matching one in Candy Apple Red (NOT the one currently for sale, not really a traditional CAR) . . . .

Ironically, it's just as well: I would have wanted to change the cosmetics on the silver one to black hardware, so I came out cheaper with the James Johnston !

Yes, I like both the Inca Silver and the Lake Placid Blue, but I've always wondered why they didn't have a color not quite so similar. I think I've mentioned CAR once, too.
