I have seen this clip before in my research. The design of this MandoBass is decent in this footage but the picture of the one I posted is immaculate. I really want to find out more about this piece.

Um, after a bit of digging, I'm starting to believe that's a photoshop job of an F5 into a pic
of a woman holding a Contra-bass, with the Contra-bass removed and the F5 enlarged and placed precisely.
Nope I've seen other photos of the same woman with that same mandobass fairly sure it's legit .
The original site is apparently gone or no longer has the image but I remember seeing other pictures of her and even her name (which I don't remember).
There are three on reverb, but not that style. I also believe the first picture is photoshopped.

If you have no luck asking here, there are numerous Mandolin Societies that might be able to help. Do a Google on “mandolin society” to get their URLs. If anybody would know, odds are someone in one of those organizations would.
Should you find something out, don’t forget to share your discoveries on this thread. We’re interested in pretty much anything that plays a low note around here.

Sounds like the very fart of God! 
Hilary James is the best-known female mandobass player currently, but she plays custom-A-style mandobasses. This woman and this bass ain't her. I have seen this image before, and once with a caption that says the photo was taken in 1970. But I cannot backtrack to the original source (yet).
I totally blame Google for this. There used to be an export link off their Images search which allowed one to Search by Image, but that option has been gone for some time. Really screws up serious research, and also takes away the translate option. Pinterest is such a clown car shirt show when it comes to walking back images that it's futile to even try.
But the compilation of images on a page can be fascinating.
Anyway, here's the acoustic bass guitar we all want. Might even be strappable.

I agree. The lighting doesn't match the woman, the highlights on the scroll particularly. And I think the edge where it's in front of her body looks bogus. I vote photoshopped as well. Seeing it on multiple websites doesn't make it legit.
Yeah the regular image search is still available but it just brings up forum posts and pinterest garbage. Although one of the mando forums would be a good place to ask.
