David Wong, Phil Palombi, Martin Wind, Gregg August are four of the first guys that come to mind for me.

Phil Palombi's YouTube videos playing Scott LaFaro's Prescott are pretty sweet. Not just for the impressive playing, but because it's cool to hear that bass recorded with modern equipment and recording techniques.

Both are fairly conservative players, but still stretch things and they both have incredible sounds. They are not pushing the instrument to edges like Majkowski, but I love hearing any album either of them play on.

Renaud Garcia-Fons. Not new but perhaps not on your radar screen. Insanely good, IMO. Masterful bass player and wonderful composer too.
