I was wondering about this very interesting looking instrument. Never seen one of these before. Any idea who made this one or how this type of DB build is called?

The squat nature reminds me almost of a Czech Ease. I almost wonder if it is some Mexican Tololoche luthier's version of a Czech Ease. Either way it is a bit of an odd ball shape and missing a scroll as well.

I think it’s a build by David Estrada in Veracruz Mexico. It kind of looks like some of his work but I’m not too sure. His website doesn’t have much photos of his work but his instagram does, I’ll leave them both here.

Spot on, found a very similar looking db in the corner of a photo on his intragram page. They seem to be very interesting instruments. The builder is also somehow tied to mexican artist and musician Silvana Estrada. Very interesting rabbit hole I’ve had bow the pleasure of stumbling upon.
