WHO GOT THE FUNK?!?!

Paul Jackson with The Headhunters...nasty finger-Funk.

I also recommend Jaco on "Barbary Coast" for more finger-Funk.

Just recently, I bought Hot On The Tracks...an early Commodores' album. Back then, they could bring it. Ronnie LaPread on bass.

Their bass player is named Trevor Dunn.

These funky songs are primarily found on their first album produced by John Zorn, then it gets even more weird on their second album, ascending into strange, before ending with their third album in some sort of soundtrack to a surreal avantgarde prog rock opera.

Amazing stuff for sure. Always been fascinated about how the mad talents in Bungle just happened to have been classmates in a fairly small town. What are the odds?
