Who hates this?

It used to be that if you wanted a mellow, warm sound, you had to use your fingers, but with new effects boxes, and different types of strings, using a pick works just as well, and sometimes better! I've been playing bass (not well, but still playing) since the late sixties, and now prefer a pick.

It is good to see that you are converted ha ha.
I also play slap bass which is hard going from pick, it can be done though.
