Who here rocks a single 15?

It's good enough and then some. And that's a really good bass. I have the big brother to that, same color, and it's dynamite. I see you didn't like the pickguard though.

I've had the bass for almost a year but just took off the pickguard a week or two ago to see how I like it. It's a bedroom bass so it probably doesn't make much difference! By big brother do you mean the BB734A or the BBP? Each of the recent BB series basses has a slightly different color sunburst finish so these siblings won't look exactly alike.

The only thing that bothers me about the B100 is the notch filter. I get how the notch filter works but I always struggle finding a good setting for it. I really wish it could be bypassed or disabled. I think they put that feature into more recent Acoustic head models (not sure about combos). I figured once I get my chops up to where I can play with people, by then I should have a better idea what sound I'm looking for and can pick a combo or rig to match. But for now I get by just fine with the B100.

I’ve had a Gibson (Norlin) -LabSeries (Moog) 1x15 cabinet since 1979. I bought it new. But, I don’t use it much. When I do use it, I hook it up to a 50w Marshall Bass tube head.

My understanding of the Owners Manual is that the Notch filter (frequency choice) is disabled when the Shape button is Out. And a 10db cut when In.

Apologies I was looking at the newer version. Yours has a -10db notch (narrow cut), adjustable between 50 & 1kHz. AR recommend setting it at 1 O'Clock for 'Traditional Bass'. 12 O'Clock (250Hz cut) for slap. It looks like you cannot switch it off. Acoustic B100 10 W 1×10" Bass Guitar Combo | Acoustic Amps

Hey there. Just stumbled onto this thread.
I started playing bass through a 15" cab.
Then went down the route of trying 'everything under the sun to get the sound I'm looking for' only to returned to the 15s exclusively.
No more shall I roam away from 15s.

The top one is my Labsystem 15" combo (150 watts)that was only used for 1 show then held captive in a wardrobe for 20 years... glad I had the chance to liberate it.

The second is my Markbass 152 cab with my Maton JB4's and 600 watt Lab System amp.

Now, to get rid of all my 2x10,4x10, 6x10cabs....

This is what I've been using live. It's been recapped and has a reconed cast JBL in it. The cabinet is smallish so it's not too heavy. The later red-face version I bought at Sam Ash for $79 and lives at the rehearsal space is decidedly larger and heavier.

Sure the Class D/Neodymium stuff is a lot lighter but I can buy old Peaveys in good shape for almost nothing.
