PF50T and PF115he...bringing some boom to the room!

For years I had a great EV 15 in a road cabinet that I used for tons of small to mid sized gigs but the cabinet was a bit on the heavy side and I switched to lighter Genzler stuff but not 15. Lately I’ve been contemplating getting their 15-3 and if we were in normal gigging times likely would have gotten it already.

How would you describe compared to “regular” P and a J? If possible...

Had 410's, 210's, 212's, 8x8''s, combos, etc. I always go back to 15's.....
Currently rocking the Markbass Jeff Berlin combo sitting on top of Traveler 115 cab.... this is perfect!!!!

I was thinking about doing this early this year. Did you do a review for it when you got it? Is it loud enough for medium-sized gigs?

I don't think I did. I'm not well versed in the technical stuff people love on TB. This is a classic rig. The PF115he has a heavy bottom (which I like). Like those old "folded horn" and "reflex" cabs from the '70s, you need to be a few feet out in front of it to hear the full tone. Undoubtedly perfect for R&B and Motown stuff (P-Bass with Flats). For our stuff, I play with the horn on 50%. I mounted the head to the flip top so the whole unit is easy to move. It's definitely loud enough for medium sized gigs without FOH support.

Here's a vid from last year (pre-covid). 50 people. No FOH. You can hear how it sits in the mix. Bass at 3pm, Mids 800hz at 12:30, Treb at 1:30. I think this was taken with an iPhone.
