Who is getting an Expressionator?

I will most certainly buy one, if only because the Expressionator sounds so cool when listed off with my Over Drivulator, Uber Drivulator, Tremulator, Compulator, and Reverbulator.

I love this stuff.

sweeeeeeeeet.

lol. now it just needs an expression in to be relevant to this conversation.

i DID use the LFO out on my Goatkeeper yesterday into the Expressionator. so. GOOD.

The owner of Lightfoot Labs told me that the LFO out on the Goatkeeper could only be used with Control Voltage and not with Expression, is this how you use it? I was considering a Goatkeeper partly for this feature.

Only took me a month to hook up the Expressionator...:hmm: Life gets in the way.

It's not playing nice with the Second Voice, but I'm assuming user error at this point. Franta and Xero Dlx. are working flawlessly.:hyper:

Anyone have a link to the manual, I can't find Jean's e-mail with the attachment.:rollno:

MmmmmmmmmmmmmYEAH. Holy crap. I think I need one and I only have one(ish) pedal to control. Oh god. Need. Moar. E'spression.

Seriously though, my Moogs have the MP201 and that leaves me with just the FrantaBit. I reckon I could hook up some more on the Freqbox, even the Super FatMan, but I want MOAR.

Anyone using a Roland EV-5 with their Expressionator?
My whole experience with the 'nator has been very underwhelming and I'm beginning to think it's because of the Roland. I'm getting very little sweep when using the Second Voice. The Franta and Xero seem ok, but the sweeps don't sound as dramatic as the sound clips I've heard.

I'm also getting some noise in my signal chain now that I have the 'nator patched in but it could be power issues or cabling. I've got some troubleshooting to do...

Thoughts?

I got mine about a week ago and haven't even had time to plug it in/plug into it yet!! :hmm:

I'm going to finally test it tomorrow and see what's what. I'll be starting with a Moog EP-2, but I have a couple other expression pedals lying about that I'll give a go also.

...couple of quick questions for those who've played with theirs for a while... how does setting the ep-2's knob interact with setting the span on the Expressionator itself? That is, because the Expressionator designates the lowest and highest sweep setting is the ep-2's knob basically obsolete? Also I thought that you could use it with the Moogerfoogers with the internal switches on the Expressionator (for CV control)...??

I'm sure that I'm missing something as I haven't tried it out yet and only scanned the manual Jean sent right after I paid. Any advice from you ex-heads would be appreciated, though. I'll post some findings tomorrow after I get it all set up (Xero, Franta and Four Eyes Fuzz).

i've never used a Roland exp pedal, but with the EP2 and Mission i get exactly the range i do with them plugged straight into pedals as i do plugged into an Expressionator first.

and yeah, it's digital, so it can add some noise if it's daisy chained, mine only seems to if i have another digital pedal chained with it. do you get noise if it's on it's own power source?
