Who Loves Their Drummer?

the drummer in the band I'm in tries to hard to be a musician... listening to a song i had to explain what a ghost note was, he then adopted the term when explaining that when he double kicked on the bass drum peddle that the second kick must be the ghost note.. i stood up and walked very quietly out of the room...

Well that was rude...

I think my drumer is the raddest dude ever.

The band I am in now started as just me and my guitarist friends writing songs. We were searching for a keyboardist and a drummer so when I remembered one of my good friends Max was really good at drumming on the keyboards so I figured we could try em' out.

On the day he was supposed to try out my guitarist and I were jamming on a song we were working on. Max lets himself in to the practice space, pulls out a beer for both of us and puts them on our respective amps, sits down at the kit and launches us into a good ten minute long jam that was by far our best yet as a unit. All without saying a word. After the jam finally ends we both turn to each other and say "I think we have found our man!"

Max had always been a good guy but now I have a whole new respect and Man-love for him.

I absolutely love my drummer. Aside from being hands down the best drummer I've ever played with he is one of my best friends in the world.

A lot of people on here dis or pick fun at their drummers, so it's nice to see a thread about good drummers. Finally I can brag about mine.

Being a drummer myself (and I'm no hack either, I've been drumming for like 14 years and I was the drum captain of my high schools award winning drum line) I can say with confidence that this guy can put 90% of the drummers out there to shame. Seriously, I can only think of a few drummers I've ever heard that could top this guy.

Just to put things into perspective, this guy warms up on Danny Carey's drum solo in 46&2 and Rush tunes. WARMS UP on stuff like that! It's nice to finally play with a drummer who can pretty much do anything you could ever ask and always plays in perfect time. Any bassist should be so lucky.

I don't have any audio that would do him justice. But here is a pic of the man in action.
