Who makes a 23 inch scale bass?

Hello ...

I’m not a bass player but I’m looking for a good quality small 23 inch scale bass for myself.

Besides the below is there anything obvious I’m missing?

Kala California solid body UBass

Greg Bennett Corsair MCR-1 Mini Bass (I’m not sure if its still made)

Jay Turser JTB-40 (I’m not sure what size it is) but it seems impossible to find in the UK

Liuteria 3g Microbass (made in Italy) but it seems they don't respond to email.

I would be grateful for your wisdom.

Goldtone Mbass (comes in 23 and 25) and the Taylor GS Mini Bass.

I've only played the Taylor, but it's ASTONISHING how good they got it to sound with that tiny body. I played a 27" Journey carbon fiber acoustic too that didn't sound half as good.

Yes - I forgot - I’ve also played the Taylor GS Mini - it sounds good, but I’m looking for a solid body bass.

Goldtone Mbass I can certainly buy in the UK - but I’ve not tried one yet. I will have a look - thank you.

The Journey at 27” would be a tad too big for my current needs.

Sure thing - I only mentioned the Journey as comparison on sound to the Taylor. I didn't realize that you were specifically looking solid, though.
Goldtone's solidbody might come in the same 23" and 25" scales as their hollow, but as a bonus they do have steel strings available (previously I think they had only the rubber string options like the uke basses tend to use)

Are those like Wing basses, where they're up an octave? or standard tuning, which seems to be hard for something small. I don't have a FB account so I can't really dig too far into the page.

I play bass uke, 21-24" scale, I have 19. I recently bought this 23" Savannah Lightning Travel Bass on Reverb, don't know the availability in the UK, it might be distributed with a different name. It comes with those fatpoly bass uke strings, but I switched them to the LaBella metal flat wounds made for the Gold Tone M-bass.

Do the LaBella metal flat wounds sound good? Do thry play in the same octive as a regular bass?
