thanks, yeah I only see a few of them in the ebays at the moment, and none in GC listings. I'm lucky to have chanced upon one in a mom and pop.
I like the 3 screen display / 9 knobs that B3 has. Star Trekkin, across the universe...
yes, the expression pedal is volume/wah as a standard setting, but it can be programmed to control just about any parameter. If that's not enough, there is also a 2nd expression pedal input.
An old, beated up, Morley Dual Bass wah that I use as a boost when I play a fill or something. I don't get why some people give it bad reviews I think it sounds really well. Check it out in my bands first video at around 1:30

Like that bass tone! The use of the wah was tasteful enough not to be distracting. Just enough to set the bass apart in those sections.
I can't find the receipt, but I'm pretty sure they had $320+ tax on it. Same as the general going rate you see on ebay. New units from Japan is pretty crazy high, but if you check "sold listings", people are paying that much.
Old Setup: Compressor & Vol Pedal, and the Compressor was really just a way to boost without overwhelming things.
New Setup: B1Xon, with only a half-dozen "basic" effects used in a gig. Again, sometimes the only effects I use are Normal and Boost, but it's good to have the others available, and having the volume pedal attached is A Good Thing.

See, until I played with a metal guitarist I thought having more than 0-1 pedals was redundant. However, as soon as the guitarist plugged in, the sound of my bass vanished into thin air. My tone up to that point had been ideal for stripped-down forms of music like punk, where effects are minimal and all you really need is an amp, a p-bass (a knockoff in my case), roundwounds, and a pick. When the guitarist and I started playing, this tone had all the prominence of a raindrop in a typhoon. I changed my mind about the pedals, and I've got 3 now, probably more at a later time.
I sold out.

I used to just have a Digitech Bass Driver, but then I upgraded to a BBM Deluxe and got addicted to pedals. Now I'm running a tuner>Bass Whammy>Overdrive>Wah>Chorus>Ring modulator>Big Muff>Reverb. I need a delay and a compressor, maybe an octaver too, a bit crusher...

I play punk and have a board of up to 13 pedals on it (never any less than 6), I never have and never will play a P bass, and I almost exclusively play finger style.
Many effects can be useful in all sorts of different genres, punk amongst them just as much as any other!
