For the most part, it's been a P into the tube amp of the day into 15s since 1967. But as soon as my fdeck hpf gets here, I'm done with being a straight-wire player.

Bass = Gibson Thunderbird or Fender Mustang
Amp = GK MB Fusion or 700RB II
Cab's = GK 115 III Neo or 212 NEO

This weekend it will be: Fender Blacktop Jazz bass - quailty 1/4" cable - Genz Benz GBE500H - speakon cable - SWR Big Bertha 2x15.
That's my normal rig, though sometimes I'll go with my Lakland 55-01 w/Nordy DC's and Bart preamp and/or a Hartke 4x10 depending on the venue and setlist.

No matter what is included in my rig, efficient setup and breakdown are critical. I've had bands where effects were a necessary part of my setup, but over the past couple of years it's been...
