Maybe take another look at the photos? To me, it looks like front and back. Harder to see in the case, but in one photo you can see the flame maple top. Maybe I'm hallucinating though. It's Monday.

Reminds me of some of the horrid refinishes I'v seen where somebody takes a painted instrument and strips it to a natural finish to let the wood's 'beauty' shine through.

LOL. Brings back memories for me. Forty years ago, I had a black '78 jazz bass that I decided to take back to natural wood so I could get an Anthony Jackson 'Career Girl' vibe happening. Oops, big mistake. Lo and behold, the body was a laminate of seven mismatched pieces of hard ash, all of different widths, with grain going all over the place! Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) it looked awful.

Feels like one of those mis-stamped coins from the US mint that become extremely valuable because they were released in error. I would not let that bass go. It's unique in a way that you won't typically see and who knows... if you hit the big time, that bass will have story and history.

I came here to say the exact same thing about the coins that were striked improperly as a comparison this particular bass could be more valuable to some.

With a black pg it wouldn't be as noticable from the front. I like the clear as it shows it on all it's glory though.
