If I might suggest some albums, the Live from Mars and Fight For Your Mind already listed are great, but I would also recomend Diamonds on the Inside, one of their newest releases.

If you can get a hold of it, see if you can check out the Austin City Limits performance (the TV show, not the music festival). I have that on DVD, and it's an amazing show.

Brown Eyed Blues has a cool funky line and a nice solo on the live DVD (Hollywood bowl). Juan is one of my favourite bassists, cool guy.
After listening to "fight" from that link I was inspired and went surfing to find out more about Mr. Nelson (as he shall now forever be known to me.)
