Who the hell is

I know that they have atleast one live dvd. And hey who was Ben Harpers mother? They kinda talk a little about his mom in the start of the dvd i have saying that she also performed at the place but the never really say who she was?

All I know is she was a musician, and his grandparents owned a Folk Music shop that sold and repaired instruments. I believe his dad was also a musician.

And for those that liked the link, here are a couple more freebies :) (All from last years Austin City Limits Music Festival)

My favorite is probably Fight for Your Mind and my least favorite is Burn to Shine. I never listen to that one. I haven't yet heard his collaboration with the Blind Boys of Alabama but I saw them on Letterman and it was a great performance.

If you can get a hold of it, see if you can check out the Austin City Limits performance (the TV show, not the music festival). I have that on DVD, and it's an amazing show.

Id be glad to make anyone who wants a copy of it one. Shoot me a PM and we can work it out. Im not sure how legal it is, since it was a TV show that aired, but is not available for sale. Id assume it wouldn't be a big deal.

After listening to "fight" from that link I was inspired and went surfing to find out more about Mr. Nelson (as he shall now forever be known to me.) ;)

Here's a link to a site for another project he's working on that has some 30 second sound clips you can download and groove to.

Saw him a while back and Juan was playing a Ken Smith.

Not a big fan of boutique basses, but woohooo, he made me take notice.

BTW, I'm not ditching any Bongos because I can get that tone out of my Bongos.

So there!
