Whoever this guy is (John Gustafson?)

Hands down my favorite Roxy Music Album. Also has John Whetton on it
Wetton is not on Country Life, recorded during the summer of ‘74 when he was still involved with King Crimson. In fact, the studio tracks of Red were being recorded at roughly the same time. Wetton did join up in time for the supporting tour once CL was released; tracks recorded during that jaunt ended up on the Viva! live album, and then he contributed to Phil Manzanera’s solo album, Diamond Head, before joining Uriah Heep for a while, I believe. I saw Roxy in February, ‘76, on the Siren tour, and Rick Wills(David Gilmour)was the live bassist. Opening act was Backstreet Crawler, featuring Paul Kossoff from Free; he was kind of a mess during their set, and came back out and apologized afterwards. A week later he was dead.
