Whom would you wanna hang out with?

Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz. John Taylor, heck, all of Duran Duran past and present, although that might be awkward. Even Warren Cuccurullo (I can't spell it right! haha sorry Warren) because he's a trip. Depeche Mode. Nile Rodgers (I might get my chance, actually...long story, stay tuned!). Terry Bozzio. Patti Smith (I met her, it was really cool). And of course, our good friend Bump. :P

4. A young Johnny Cash, not because I dislike his religious stance later in life. I think thats cool in its own right. But I want to meet the guy that wrote some pretty messed up stuff, see if just for a second I cant figure out where songs like Boy Named Sue orginated from. Ive often thought if Cash was to be starting out today there is no way he'd be country. His twisted song writing if he did do a honky tonk style I bet it be in the way of David Alan Cole or Hank III. Personaly I think he'd be wailing on a B.C. Rich or ESP fronting a metal band of some sort.

Geddy Lee: I have lot's of bass, keyboard and technical questions I'd love some answers to, and how certain songs were constructed.

Any and all of these bands: Rush, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Doors, Cream, Genesis, Yes: I'd like to just sit in a room and listen to them work on a song, watch ideas develop, see how they work certain parts out, the bass/drum parts, solos, fills, etc.

Trent Reznor: not a huge fan of his work, but the guy is pretty genius with what he's accomplished. Hanging with him would be interesting.

Billy Corgan: never really thought much of him or the band, but after hearing him talk in the Rush documentary I was impressed. I wouldn't mind hanging with him for a day.

John Patatucci, Stanely Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Flea: wouldn't mind a master class lesson and hanging out later with any of these guys.

Mike Portnoy: he sounds like the kind of dude you can have a few laughs with but still talk technical too.

All the dudes from AC/DC: I saw singer Brian Johnson on That Metal Show and he was a howl with his on the road stories. I'd love to sit in a pub with these guys and just listen to their stories.

And too many more to list...

no "bump" is when a thread sits for a little while and a TB'er wants it to go to the top of the forum section. It is just like when TB'ers do "TTT" in classifieds so their thread jumps to the top of the list.

Mark King, just because he is an awesome bass player and seems like a cool guy!

Les Claypool for the same reasons as everyone else!

Freddie Mercury, just because he was an awesome showman and singer, would love to just see what he is like face to face.

John Deacon, he was one of my biggest inspirations when I started and I love his bass lines, would love to meet and chat about all things bass!

Definately Sir Paul! Boy, could ask him questions forever!!!! Maybe have a spot of tea.
Also, for the living, Dave Grohl. Seems like such a fun, real, person.
The deceased, gotta be Lennon and Cobain. Maybe together.

wait, what's wrong with that?? i don't necessarily think he meant together, but both at once. even if they were together, what would be the big deal?? :p


anyways i could think of a plethora of random musicians,etc. i'd want to hang out with. michael gira, the guys from nirvana, tool and the deftones, justin broadrick, zooey deschanel, that guy that makes death by audio effects, i forget his name(from a place to bury strangers). so yeah, seriously random a$$ musicians in there.. i could probably go on forever, i'd like to hang out with alot of people.

1. Geddy because he is my idol and I would learn as much as I could in that day. Oh and he loves baseball.
2. All the guys of Rush just because they have been such an influence to me and they all seem like cool, nice guys
3. Les Claypool because he seems awesome
4. Vic Wooten because he also seems awesome, and id get him to teach me some stuff
5. Cee Lo Green, he actually seems like one of the nicest guys
