Who's the Bigger Nerd?

Nerds are great, I love when I can play scrabble or something with someone, or a game called set that's all about pattern recognition, and they have as much fun as I do.
My nerdy qualities include being on academic team when I was in high school, I love Kurt Vonnegut so much that I am getting not one, but two! tattoos because of him. I frequent a forum that belongs to an internet web comic artist, and I get upset if I miss Jeopardy.

I'm sorry to intervene here, but /x/ is terrible. You should go to /mu/ instead, being a musician and all that. I mean, it's terrible to, but it's much better.
Also, I forgot, I am a member of my college's electric bass ensemble. I guarantee there is not a nerdier looking group of people.

As I'm working on a bass restoration my wife walks in and informs me that I am a nerd.
Me: Why
Wife: Because you are taking pictures of everything you are doing to that bass!
Me: Yes, other people like to see the progress of the work.
Wife: Yeah, other nerds!
This happens as she is taking a break from playing our daughter's Animal Crossing City Folk on the Wii.
I think she is the bigger nerd!
There was a time when playing and building bass guitars was a totaly anti-nerdy thing to do.
Playing computer games has always been nerdy.

I myself am a huge fan of giant robots (Armored Core, Gundam, Zoids, Transformers), history, my heritage, and model kits. Also, drawing, and a bit of painting. Cars and machines and firearms/weapons run along too, but more as a skill I guess.
I find myself lucky to be one of the few with a clear face, thin muscly build and decent looks.
And, being a metalhead, long hair.
I think you both are nerds in love, raising your kids to be everyone else on the play ground's bosses.

Damn, maybe I'm not as nerdy as I thought I was. I used to be into pen and paper role playing (D&D, Shadowrun, D20 Modern, got all the books to do a Warcraft RPG but never did start a game) mainly as a player, played WoW for about 4 or 5 years, and was into Warhammer 40k a smidge. I also love aircraft (used to be a nut and know a bunch of random crap about random aircraft) and watching stuff like Discovery, Science Channel, and History. I'm a nerd in my own way, I guess.
