Most of the names that immediately come to mind have been mentioned already. Geddy Lee is a huge inspiration for me. I love learning his bass lines. Same goes for Jack Bruce. Of course there's Jaco too.

To name somebody that I don't think has been mentioned yet in this thread: Pete Quaife of The Kinks.

To answer my own question, It's Cliff Burton of Metallica! Rest in peace, Cliff, My dearest condolences to your family. After him, It'd be Steve Harris, Nate Navarro, Charles Berthoud, And Definitely Justin Chancellor. Who's Your favorite?

I started on drums at a young age. I would steal my brother and sisters albums.
I got turned on to bass by John Entwistle and Glen Cornick and Jamerson but I
I didn't know who he was, I just heard him at night listening to the radio.
Later on by Chris Squire, Jon Camp, Greg Lake, etc. etc.
A favorite of mine not mentioned much is Roscoe Beck, killer pocket player.
