Why are some user names bold and others arent?

I've noticed that some of our user names are bold when browzing the forum. Off hand, i remember superbassman2000, bard2thebone, and myself all have bold usernames. There's more, but i can't remember them.

At first i just noticed that it was mine, but then I realized that other random people have it too. As do mods. Odd coincidence? or is it like that for a reason?
