Why are there less posts on the TB homepage now?

a few days ago I noticed there are about half as many "current posts" or whatever you call them on the TB home page. I don't like it, and want to put the full quantity back. Is there a way? I visit TB often throughout the day and prefer to see what's going on via this homepage list.

Am I alone?

I didn't see a forum for talking about the forum, so if this needs to be moved, I'm sorry 'bout that.

I started to use the New Post forums...I feel like a whiner here, but I actually don't want all those other forums. The ones on the home page are the ones I care about most.

I guess I'll live.

you can edit your preferences so that only the forums that you like appear when you hit the new posts button...for example, i exclude the DB forums, and several other electric bass forums like the lobby and off topic...if i were to leave off topic on my list, i would have 50 pages of off topic stuff to go through every time i log on to see what i've missed...

Was just going to mention this. So, you can build your "latest threads" list however you like. Seems like this is a good solution? It's just one more link to click guys ;)

I have other sources I use for news on the music industry, I too never read those. Not only that, but you STILL can't see those news items on any of my laptops (all macbooks or macbook pros, one a 17"er). So the goal still is not accomplished.

Let's put back the post count on the home page! Yippee!

No, I won't give up...it's really starting to bug me. I have an Apple 23" monitor - pretty big really, and I still can't see the news items. So after deleting posts on the home page, the stated goal isn't even achieved.

Please reconsider putting it back the old way, please. If you really want people to see the news, can I make a suggestion?

Put the news on the right where the list of the hundreds of current users online sits. Who on earth looks at a million screen names? Bury that under the posts, and now you really got somethin'.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll look into it, but am not going to spend too much time shuffling the homepage now, as a major re-do is in the works based on the new VBulletin 4.0 ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]). VB4 is in beta3, so plan to see the new homepage when the first stable release is out hopefully this winter.

For now, I'll bump up the recent threads back to 20 - though, as stated, if you customize your "new posts" results, that'll give you a much more inclusive activity listing...
