Again, 2 of the 3 songs were covers. The other one I'm not sure. I'm sure she could hold her own, though.

How were they not jamming? They don't need to play "Whipping Post" or a meandering jam to prove anything, plus you didn't stipulate 'no covers'. The point is, she wasn't playing along with a backing track, but with other musicians, and her chops are evident. One song was by Joe Satriani, the other two by Rage Against The Machine; who had you not heard of?

I didn't recognze the second song (don't know a whole lot of Rage). Ok, she's good... Lol.

I've seen a few video's with this young lady. WOW!! Gotta be a total natural talent. (Sadly, I'm not! Gotta work and work at it). There's a video where Robert Plant watched her play "Good Times, Bad Times" and he was amazed. Said "well, I know where she can get a job! Of course she would have to bring her parents along!"

Just keep her away from Jimmy.

I'm not discounting natural talent, but people don't realize how much goes into becoming a great musician. I doubt many people here practice (not just playing songs) more than a few hours per week. Ask the average student at Berklee how many hours per week they practice.

Agreed. Natural talent only gets you in the door. There's also the ability to listen, and feel what a song needs. These kids are very impressive (I wasn't drumming like that at their age) at playing other peoples songs. The development comes when you can not only create your own groove, but do it with others and compliment their own playing.

It's one thing being able to learn and execute a piece note for note, and that takes quite a bit of practice and talent, but check out Joey Alexander doing jazz improvisation:
