Why cant a PJ sound like a real P

Well you guys can continue to pick nits whilst I don't give stuff like this a second thought. My PJ's P pickups sound just like they do when everything is wired up as when I disconnect everything else but the P.

I couldn't care less either, but don't you think it's amusing that people believe that a J rout or some string pull is going to turn Mounds into Almond Joy?

Changing or upgrade a J pickup on a Bass that has a PJ configuration, will it make the J pickup sounding more 'robuust' or 'beefy' when blended with the P pickup ?? I have played some basses in the past with the PJ config and the J pickup was absolutely horrible and very 'thin' sounding.
It can. It can also take you in the opposite direction.
