). I have it on pretty good authority that the Bass Police no longer come to player's houses in the wee hours of the morning, and make them play basses they don't like. Neck-thrus or any other kinds... Personally, I currently have 6 neck-thru basses; two T-Birds, 2 Ricks, a Carvin LB-20, and an old Kramer Forum III. While my 4001 Rick is my "go-to" bass, it's not because it's a neck-thru. It's because it's a 4001 Rick, and a neck-thru is just what 4001/4003 Ricks are. Same for my other neck-thru basses - same for all of my basses, in fact. I have them because I want them, and whatever kind of neck they have wasn't/isn't an issue. They are what they are, and I don't give a tinker's damn about their neck type. I just play them...
