Why did my speakers blow?

Weren't the other guys in the band using in-ears, too?
This scenario would make any amp vulnerable to "pushing too much low end," no?

Nope. In my six piece band I'm the only one who uses them. For this gig, three out of five of us did.
I've never been in a situation where everyone used them, believe me I wish they did.
