I know everyone hates the car analogy but.....I have a truck and a sports car both fun both good for different situations. Variety is the spice of life.

For the record I have: 3 Jazz type Fenders. 3 stock (mostly) Fender Precisions. And 3 P/J type Fenders.

So which ones are like sports cars and which ones are like trucks? SUV's? : D

You can find a decent used Squier super cheap. I see them on CL all the time for $100 or less. I just picked up a 2000-2001 Squier Affinity P for $40 at a pawn shop (talked them down some because the jack was jacked up, had a cracked pickguard and loose, scratchy knobs, plus it had been sitting in there forever.

Took it home, put it under the knife for a few cosmetic and electronics mods and, voila! Plays really nice...sweet neck with low action, no buzzing or dead spots...looks, feels and sounds great (IMO) for under $150 total:

Never liked Bimmers, never will. If I'd buy something more "alpine" I'd buy a KTM or a Transalp.

That's simple David, the straight P's are the Trucks, utilitarian get the job done type rigs. The P/J's are the the more nimble vehicle some of which I've modded to do anything go fast and navigate any musical roads' twists and turns.
