Why do people dislike you?

I tend to think before I speak or act and aside from when I'm inebriated, I rarely ever say anything truly dumb.
So to certain people who have a hard time understanding this I come off as a "Know it all"

That and sometimes I like to kick puppies.

I'm not a natually "happy" person. I can be a bit sullen & withdrawn. That combined with my looks (Kevin knows me) and it's a recipe for unpopularity. I'm told I'm intimidating. I don't try to be, I'm just being me. I really think the appearance is the biggest part of it all though.

Really? The first time I met you I just wanted to give you a hug! :)

I don't get how a picture of Varg is funny. Unless you don't know who he is and the pic is just for the look on his face....

Now, this is funny:

:D

This is why people dislike you.

I feel like I just read a great description of me.

I am actually pretty shy. I won't usually strike up conversations with people just to talk to them. So I present myself to others as stand off ish. I generally do not mingle and I don't like crowds. Which makes me seem arrogant. I am the polar opposite on stage though. Also, I am very good at sarcasm. People find me difficult to read and they find it hard to know if I am joking or not. Most of the time I am joking though. I have a very deep loyality to my friends and family and I stand up to anyone I perceive as a bully. Being bullied all my very young years, I am hyper sensitive to it and I can come across as mean or angry, but I am far from it. I will run to a fight, but work my mind off to find a way out of a fight and I never back down.. It gets me into spots here and there...

Very dry sense of humor and deadpan delivery, people can't tell when I'm joking or being sarcastic

I struggle with that too. To such a degree that I all but gave up joking around with people, as most just don't get it.

And I lack sympathy when people do the same stupid **** over and over again, but would rather keep doing it and crying foul than learn from it and move on. I don't throw pity parties for dumb*****. I'll gladly help people who will take it, otherwise, shut the **** up about it.

I have found people either really like me, or really hate me. Not much in between. I've also realized that I really don't care one way or the other. Be a friend, or go away.

meh...generally I get along with most everybody to one extent or another so I don't often run into a situation where someone outright cant stand me. At least not that I'm aware of. I figure that if someone doesn't like me then that's their issue, not mine as I usually tend to go out of my way to be friendly with folks.
If/when it does happen though it's usually due to an exceedingly corny sense of humor at times, my love of arguing and ranting about politics, or once in a great while I just get in the mood where I don't want to deal with people so I get a bit aloof.

I'm really sarcastic all the time and tend to be pretty awkward around people I don't know very well.

Some people don't care for me because I swear a lot without even realizing it... Being a machinist and musician took a heavy toll on my vocabulary and classiness.

The people I do get along with really like me, though. But they're either musicians, machinists or people that I've known my entire life that know how i normally act haha.

I don't know why people don't like me and to be honest : I don't care ;)

Thing is, I don't have friends.. Literally. I like to be on my on and do my own thing. Of course I go out with people that have the same interest in things like I do, but I keep it like that with them, nothing more ;)
