Why do threads I post in die?

Okay, I've been a member here for 7 years (8 in April) - have posted regularly for more than 5.

Since the very beginning, I've seen this happen to probably around half of the threads I post in - nobody posts in these threads anymore. They die. Dead. Kaput. Eternal Slumber. :dead:

Possible reasons -

i) I'm some sort of TB Grim Reaper

ii) I post in topics in which interest is decidedly ephemeral or my posts murder the interest :(

iii) Happens to quite a few users.

Help :crying:

NB: I'm never ragequitting. I don't care if I end up killing each TB thread, but I will never leave. Never.

^^ This thread would have been funnier if nobody replied, given the nature of the subject. ^^

LOL, I thought so too, but I couldn't help myself.

To the OP, don't take it personally. In fact, don't take much of anything that happens to you in this world personally. I've recently tried soliciting opinions on various pedals, and have gotten no replies. I simply chalk it up to.
1) No one has read the thread yet.
2) No one has read the thread yet that has personal experience with my questions.

I've suspected this for some time now that a certain percentage of the human race has evolved and now has telepathic powers and no longer has need of the printed or spoken word to communicate. I would sight the decline of the use of turn signals by some drivers as an example. Mind you, this is just a theory on my part and in no way intend to elude to any sort of conspiracy real or imagined. The truth is out there.
