Be forewarned; the stock strings on a Fender or Squier might not be what Fender says they are.
Several Squiers here at my GC have red silk, Roto sounding strings that are not the 7250 set the Fender site says they are.
Any Japanese Fender I have bought has come with a stainless, silkless string that is also not the 7250 Fender says they are.
Thanks for the warning, and thanks guys for the help! These strings do have the red tops, so I'll proceed with caution...by the way, would these strings be regular legnth, or for this bass are they the long scale? Forgive the newbie questions, as like I said, this is my first bass, and therefore my first strings! As far as guitar is concerned, I have probably tried all of the more popular ones, and some of the not so popular ones, and I've come away with liking and using D'addario's. I'm sure at some point I'll give them a whack on the 5 stringer.

String brands don't really matter or differ that much other than the distinction between flats and rounds. Great players can make any strings sound good. Accomplished fingers make for the best sounding strings.

So, is anyone going to answer my question about what Curt Mangan means by "Fusion Matched" or is it just marketing BS?
I was informed that the red silked strings that come on squiers are not 7250's but are 7350s(stainless steel). Thanks for the warning, and thanks guys for the help! Sure sounds like Marketing BS to me. And I work in marketing so I know it when I see it.
There is a lot of BS on the Curt Mangan packages.
