I totaly agree, I'm not the biggest Jazz Bass fan who ever lived but this one blows me away every time I look at it!

Also, I kind of like how the photos on their site don't look as photoshopped to hell and back as on other sites but more like - actual photos.

Just go ahead to EvilBay and look at all the cool models/paint schemes and colors.

So many more matching head stocks. One model had a silver flake finish... All the models with inlays. Most of these models are available at just below American Standard price points. (Shipping is also a cool hundy)

A hollow body jazz bass!?!? Yup- they've got em.

And my favorite- the "standard PJ" - a jazz with split coil in the neck. -For 800 bucks US

What's up, Fender USA got no style? Would be great if they sent some of the models (or at least creativity) here to the US.

I guess it depends on what we each consider to be the "good stuff". I don't like matching headstocks or the PJ configuration so I'm fine with the US models.

Seems a few make it down under to us in New Zealand.

I scored a brand new MIJ Fender P '70's Series about a year ago and its a keeper.
The lightest bass I have ever owned and the neck is so thin (radius wise),vintage frets,blocks and tone to boot.

Amazing quality,the MIM and MIA P's I tried in store didnt stand a chance and price wasnt a factor,I could have afforded the MIA if it was as nice to play and as light as the MIJ.

If I could find a new MIJ Jazz with blocks and binding here it would be mine, I just love MIJ Fenders.

I still say that if they offered unlined maple fretless, I would convince my wife to let me buy one. If it were a Squier, I wouldn't need to do as much convincing.

I am still hoping she'll approve my neck order soon from a licensed maker of lesser prominence soon. It looks like I'm going to have to build because Fender won't do it for me.

I'm smitten with mine.....i played 15 high end basses at my local bass shop...this was the last one i played and even though i wasn't in the market to buy anything....i'm sure glad i decided to bring this one home....I've gigged it a handful of times and it just kills!! My soundman loved it instantly too....

All japanese Fenders and Squiers I have seen (everyone of them!), have been on par or way better than the best MIA Fender I have played...

Waiting for another 80s MIJ Squier, ebay, to arrive.
