Why Doesn't Vox Make Bass Amps?

They've tried in the past. They just never could get it together to make anything good. They put out some truly awful bass amps in the past. Naturally they bombed.

Leave them to make guitar amps. Some of them are good.

Yes... I never owned, but I played through a Vox Beatle a buddy had - - what a horrid amp. Mud-Fart, nothing but Mud-Farts.

Like the man said: They make nice guitar amps (the AC-30 is great) but bass gear? Nope.

i bought a chassis and had to cut it down to fit inside the vox head box. i used a Marshall type lug board and then had custom-made transformers made for it by Heyboer. the circuit is a blend of Marshall, Sunn, and Fender tone circuits, with four KT100 output tubes running with 520 volts on the B+.

sounds a lot like my dad, and the older I get, I seem to be getting that way too. Okay just isn't enough. Great work.

Vox should stay with guitar amps only.

Well, there's the new Pathfinder 10 bass combo. 2 5" spkrs, 10 screaming watts of power, and not too shaby sounding, for a cheap, open-backed bass combo.
