Why Don't People....

I barely ever move my cab around and I'd still ding the heck out of any wood veneers I'd put on it. That's a recipe for disaster for the clutzy :D Different colored Tolex or grills look nice, but I wouldn't do it on anything I wasn't planning on keeping forever, as removing it would be a pain.

EarCandy makes some really pretty cabs with custom woods/finishes- check them out: http://www.earcandycabs.com/

I thought about doing this briefly, but realized that it would kill any resale value I had left on the cabs I own.

Plus it's not worth the investment. If the tolex finally dies and tears to shreds on my current cabs, I'll probably just replace it with new tolex.

Several years back when I built up some cabs, I thought it would look cool (and possibly become an identifying mark of sorts) to paint the speaker baffles chrome/aluminum. Just finished my new BFM cab. Nothing but black truck bed liner... It's better to sound good...
