Why is this site so slow to respond?

The great state of New York
Very long time user and retired IT dude here. I access your site using the Chrome browser and up-to-date Windows desktop.

For the past number of days your site has slowed down to a crawl, taking 5-10 times longer to respond than other sites I regularly visit (so it ain't my gear or internet connection).

Have you lost one or more of your web servers? Has your internet connection degraded? Have you upgraded your code with a slower version?

What's up, and when should we expect relief?

Thanks!

Are you using a Windows PC? I don't have this problem when accessing it with an iPad.

As I stated, I don't have this problem with any other site, Google, Amazon, etc.

As to why no one else has complained, it might be due to the "I'm sure someone else has already, or will eventually report it" syndrome, so it doesn't get reported. I've experienced that first hand many times.

I haven't noticed a problem and if others aren't complaining its likely on your end. That said my security software gives me error popups constantly with this site.

I'm here to add my voice to this complaint!

Everything on my end is almost exactly as with OP:
- I'm using Chrome as my browser
- on an almost up-to-date Windows PC (still running Windows 10 Home, version 22H2)
- every other website I navigate to works just fine, fast as always
- but TalkBass is sluggish as all hell, to the point where I often get a Time Out alert when trying to load a page. Also I often get a scrolling left-to-right colored cursor indicator at the top of the screen that runs until either the page finally loads, or until I get the Time Out alert.
- on my iPhone 12S, running the stock Safari browser, TalkBass works just fine, fast as always
- it's been more than a "number of days" for me; quite possibly ~6 weeks now?

One thing I did just notice today: There's a small icon in the upper right of the browser's nav bar (where URLs appear) that says "Install TalkBass.com". Never noticed this before. Is this referring to a dedicated app? I don't want an app on my PC, I want to continue using the Chrome browser.

Any ideas? HELP!
Thanks.

UPDATE - I may have solved the issue...or perhaps it's too soon to tell, but this is encouraging:

I went to my browser's Settings menu, and under Privacy & Security I turned on the "block 3rd-party cookies" feature.
And so far TB seems to be working normally again!

Fingers crossed.

I’m having very similar issues here.
