They are cheap because they are plastic and manufactured in China by a very large corporation.

So the original designers are allowed to build a monopoly and any price they charge for the smallest trinket is acceptable?Not judging if you need to buy from a company that makes clones, but if you can save up and buy from companies that create new things it will benefit you in the long run. If a companies product is copied and sold for cheaper than they can make it, they will stop making new products.

It's actually quite funny how many people who were Behringer bashers ended up using X32 desks.
It’s equally possible that the Sansamp is more expensive than it ought to be, and that the Behringer version is closer to a reasonable price for such a device.
I use one. It sounds good. I would say it is inexpensive because it's Behringer, the technology is tried and true and there is no one's name attached to it.I think I will pick one of these up, just to play with for home practice.

But why is it so cheap? You can't even buy a DI separate for $39 and this has that plus much more. I would dismiss it as something that can't possibly be usable, except all the good reviews??
