Yes they can charge what they want, it is there product. Rewarding companies who are innovative and make new or better products will encourage them to keep making new and better products. As for the second part of your post, not sure if that was meant for someone else, but I clearly stated I was not judging if you did buy the clones.

The description of this preamp unit on SW’s site lists that it has Class D amplification. I don’t think so. Unless pre-amps can now be classified as class d. I don’t think SW wrote that bit.

That said I have two other Behringer pedals that I use on the regular.

This could just as easily lead to the opposite. Resting on their laurels and making the customer pay. If a copy can make an improvement, it can spark a new idea in the original inventor. In my view, it is simply a matter of give and take.

My pedal we are discussing is in a box ever since I found out I need More mid range than less, regardless of how new amps sounded in the 80s (scooped). They seemed to dissapear live.

My Behringer Ultra Vibrato, Bass Chorus, Harmonizer and Synth are enshrined under glass.

Along with the BDI 21 I have a Zoom B1xon muti effects unit.

Now I kinda get the Behringer pedals look and in some cases sound like the things they copy, but my question is...

How is Zoom or Kemper or Headrush or Neural or Boss doing anything different when they make a modeler that are chucked full of your favorite pedals and amps, is it packaging?

As of yet, I haven't taken a position on this.

It’s cheap because Behringer doesn’t have to allocate funds to research and development. And their production costs are low.
If it sounds good it is good.
If you like it, it is good.

It doesn’t. I don’t think any of the cheap clones do (Caline Wine Cellar, Dr. J Sparrow) either. That would be a reason to spring for a real SansAmp.
