Why no speakon Daisy chain?

I guess your choices with splitter cable would then be either 1 x male to 2 x male in appropriate length or a short 1 x male to 2 x female and add extra cables to suit.

Yeah the 1 male split to 2 female makes more sense to me. If you chain more than 2 cabs you just plug the next splitter into the previous to run to the next.
Running 4 cabs off 1 amp Speakon you'd need 3 splitters & 4 cables.

I wasn't the OP. I started out simply agreeing with him that it's frustrating Aguilar doesn't put 2 speakon connectors on their cabs...I'm all good.

Just make sure you choose a splitter/cables made with suitable gauge wire. Probably at least 12AWG or 15AWG.

I recently purchased a pair of Aguilar Sl212. Great cab, but one thing is frustrating. The primary input to the cab is speakon, but to daisy chain the two together the only option is a standard speaker cable.

That's not universally true. I have owned/own several cabinets with dual Speak-On connectors (no 1/4" jacks).
