Thanks for the help all. To be honest I really don't need deeper low end at all, just more of it. I'd bet the ksusb probably would work great for our application. However, between my tipping concerns and the general feeling that there's better subs out there then I think we'll wait for the next deal to come along. It was just tempting as the band keep telling me how great my K12.2s sound, so the idea of getting a similar qsc pa system rather than from any of the similar brands appealed to the hive mind.
The Ksub is good. I prefer k10 and ksub but 12's if you already have them, sound good with one..if outside and covering upwards of 250 people, then 2 but then you really might be needing to hire in..
No one wants deep sub...you dont hear on concerts these days..and really shouldn't unless that type of show...imo.
K12's and Ksubs are decent for garden type gigs and vocal clarity. I find QSC do what they say they'll do at their level and they are about the right size weight compromise.
As in...I'm not hauling 15's or 18's.
