Looks like different velcro then I got with my Pedaltrains in the past. I never had issues with it, it fit fine and held the pedals just fine. Never had issues with it failing at hot outdoor shows (hot enough to make the Helixes two bandmates were using start to go haywire). As an added plus it held up to me moving things around a lot and even came off of pedals cleanly when I was done with them.

I've moved on to Temple just cause I like the end panel options and how clean it is with dual lock.

Yeah, the rails are typically a little smaller than 2"... I find if I use 2" dual lock and center it (so that the overhang is divided equally on both sides) it is completely inconsequential. I've never noticed it after the fact.

I haven't tried it personally, but I did read somewhere that you can flip the back plate of Boss pedals over and attach Velcro, which keeps the rubber pad intact.

This doesn't work with all Boss pedals. Some are packed pretty tight. But it does work with most.

I always just removed the rubber pad. It almost always comes clean off and you can reattach it if you ever want to. I have a drawer with a bunch of those rubber pads from Boss and DOD pedals. I've sold some in the past and I just use some adhesive to reattach. Worked great. Not for everyone though. The plate flip usually does the trick.

Juyst the XACTO is all you need really. Especially if you already applied the Velcro to the board.

I've always just turned the bottom plate inside-out, fixes the issue every time for me!

My Pedaltrain Pro came with a soft case that only fits the pedalboard, put any pedals on the back row and it absolutly will not zipper shut....

Screw the zipper.

Sorry, I don't really understand what you mean with that. I was just posting this as a joke, because I remembered how stupid my solution is. I've actually had it like this for a couple years, never had any problems haha

Been using Pedaltrain Classic Jr (hard case version) since 2018 and never had an issue with the velcro it came with. The width was correct and I never had a pedal come off, ever. Perhaps the quality of velcro has dropped since?

Unlikely. I got a PT Metro 16 last year. I can literally turn my board upside down, and shake it as hard as I want; the pedals don't move! Using the "garbage" stock velcro, though, so maybe I'm just a mug

Or a single edge razor blade, or a $1.98 snap blade knife from any home center if an XActo has no future use...

I have a mountain of Xacto handles, but I realize others might not need them.
