Why so many fat bass players?

Did someone call me a fat Nancy?

"…fat zombies"

Thanks! Now that's in the bulgy ballpark. I'm shocked.

Well I never… I haven't seen this before. Interesting career moves for Messrs Zuckerburg (my spell-checker now wants me to change that to either 'cheeseburger' or 'Cerberus' but I don't know :wacky:) and Flint. Going backwards there pretty much wouldn't you say? Banjo's not gonna do it for 'im.

And, easy Olive! Woah! She'd better watch out for that Larry bloke. He's very likely to try and make her famous, exploit her natural talents. She'd better steer clear of them staples. I don't think that would be a good idea. Ouch! How does it all end? It's a worry! It's a worry! :help:

The best compliment I ever got on my tone basically comes back to me being a large guy.

I was at a guitar show in Dallas. Peavey had just come out with their first Artist Signature Model bass, the Rudy Sarzo Sig model. They had a table set up with Rudy autographing posters and several Sarzo Sig basses available to play. Rudy's personal bass was among the demo models. It turned out that the one I picked up to play was Rudy's bass.

One of the people in line asked him why he'd picked the huge soapbar pickups in stead of something like a JJ set, which would have been much more typical of the expected. Rudy held up his hand, with his skinny spidery fingers and said "I need all the help I can get. If you check out any of the guys with a really huge natural tone, they're going to have hands the size of a schnauzer. Look at John Entwistle. His hands are about the size of a German Shepherd. He's got that sound because he's got big old huge sausage fingers. Like this guy. (points at me) I knew before I looked that he'd be a big guy. Look at his hands. You can hear it."
