Wilcock Basses - Where's the Love???

I just sent my deposit to Viv. Sounds like it will be next summer before I see the bass. Something really good to look forward to, though. Asked for sherwood green, birdseye maple FB, matching headstock with standard pickups and Schaller bridge. I want to be able to use short scales Dunlop flats.

Sounds gorgeous, keep us posted with photos! It'll be worth the wait, for sure

Here's a pic from tonight's rehearsal. I've had this bass for just over a year, I totally love it.

Anyone have any experience of the bi-sonic? I've seen one video, but totally unfamiliar with that type of pickup, so can't really picture what sort of sounds/music they're geared towards.

Mostly wondering what they offer tonally compared to the versatility of the 2 pickup Mullarkey.

I've had my eye on Wilcock for a while now. Seriously contemplating ordering a Mullarkey sometime this year. Or maybe a BiSonic, it looks super sexy with the pearloid on white. Has anyone been fortunate enough to play both? How close is the Mullarkey on the neck pickup to the BiSonic?

Also, is there any information on the lead time for custom orders?

Not sure what the lead time is now, but I put down a deposit for a custom order early March, and he estimated he'd start work around September, so I guess that's a 7+ month lead time at least?
Thanks, that sounds not too bad in today's world. And then it's a 2 ~ 3 month build I guess? That would make it a 10 month wait from deposit to finish. Let's round that up to an even 12 months, add some margin for delays. :)
