Will this/these pot(s) work?

There's a preamp that I want, but it has 5 pots, my Jazz plate only allows for 4 pots; So, I'm thinking I can stack the treble and bass into one control and that should/would solve that problem; Yay or Nay?

A stacked pot can replace standalone bass and treble pots. You need to know the resistive values and taper of what you're replacing. Make sure that the stacked pot isn't too deep to fit in the control cavity.

Thanks, I'll be sure to make sure the values are the same 250k/500k or whatever, and to make sure I have the clearance, and also whether the tapers are the same, Thanks, much appreciated.

So, Here's what I wanna do: Bass, Treble & Mids each are their own pot. I wanna combine the Bass and Treble controls into one stacked mini pot using this one from CTS. The preamp (ToneMonster) makes no mention of what the values are; 250k or 500k. Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On that one, one shaft controls both halves. You’d be adjusting the bass and treble at the same time and probably opposite directions. You want a concentric potentiometer like this. https://www.allparts.com/collections/electronics/products/ep-4485-250k-250k-concentric-audio-pot

However, I’m not saying that one is the exact one you need. Check the dimensions, resistance and taper. The existing bass and treble potentiometers should be labeled. Have you got a picture? Probably on the top near where the shaft enters. Something like B50K? Could also be stamped into the back shell.

No that's a blend pot. You need a concentric pot like seen above.

You have to find out what the preamp is designed to work with though. It may be 100k, 50k, 25k, 250k, 500k...you can't just use any value.
