Just got a message from a band I was subbing in for, they are going with different lineup.
I was suppose to rehearse with the band over the weekend to go over the set list for next weeks gig.
I just learned over 36 songs that are not in the genre that I usually play or listen to,not too difficult but still needed to get familiar with form of the songs.
I had one rehearsal with the band and they gave me the impression they were fine with my playing and singing. I was upfront with explaining that I couldn't commit to being a full time member, but was good for the single gig that I was called to do.
Oh well, I just expanded my repertoire so that is a bonus at any rate. Not a total waste of time but I'm out for $$ spent on downloading all these songs off iTunes and gas spent travelling to and from practice.
Anyone else have this happen to them?
