Fear is mans greatest enemy. Knowledge allows us to use what we fear to our advantage. Facebook like everything else in this world can be used without risk if it is understood how to circumvent the threats it (or anything else) may pose. Because science!
I don’t fear Facebook. I just don’t want to be social in Facebook way. I have wide enough social network for my needs without it and see no gain in Facebook for me. If someone can’t contact me without Facebook I can’t help it.
Realy all that I was getting at was that in the past we've been shown on the TalkBass Facebook page to spread the word about what we're doing here, and let people know that the final voting is approaching. That's all.

I think this happens for me every year, but judging by the completed entries thus far, this year will be hardest year for voting...
On another note, how about a "synthetic material" theme for a build off? It could requiring using a certain percentage of non-wood material (including forms of processed wood).

Eleven days and another new build!

To be fair, I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I technically started actual work on some of the components a few days ago. Assuming I actually get it done in time I would feel comfortable taking credit for a two week build.
This is a little embarrassing considering the theme, but I can't quite figure out what the heck to do in terms of an f-hole or other "air" design element. I've sketched and then erased about eleventy different options, to the point where the paper I drew the template on is starting to wear through. I want it to look harmonious. Maybe even on purpose. But I need to pick something pretty dang quick!

To be fair though, I'm really enjoying the challenge of this "trouble." It's a healthy kind of trouble, for sure. I feel like I could sit down and design basses all day long, just doing designs that come naturally. But those would just be whatever came out of my own brain which means they would inherently be limited.
Having an externally-imposed "constraint" like this is really rewarding because it causes me to adjust my thinking and stretch my creativity, instead of just drawing what comes easily to hand.
